Blogging Platform

Project Goal:

To create a complete, dynamic CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) application that allows users to write, publish, and manage their own blog posts.

Technologies Used:

Python, Flask, SQLite, HTML/CSS, User Authentication.

Key Features:

Secure user registration and login system.
A dashboard for authenticated users to create new posts, and edit or delete their existing posts.
A public-facing page to display all published articles.
Each post has its own unique page.

What I Learned:

This was a comprehensive full-stack project. I learned how to implement a full CRUD system, manage user sessions for authentication, design a database schema for related data (users and posts), and build a multi-page dynamic website.

URL Shortener

Project Goal:

To build a full-stack web application that takes a long URL as input and generates a short, unique link that redirects to the original URL.

Technologies Used:

Python, Flask, SQLite (for the database), HTML/CSS.

Key Features:

Accepts any valid URL and produces a short, easy-to-share link.
Stores the mapping of short links to long URLs in a database.
Automatically redirects users from the short link to the original destination.

What I Learned:

This project was a deep dive into backend development. I learned how to manage a database with SQLite, create API endpoints, handle HTTP redirects, and generate unique identifiers for user-submitted data.

Password Management System

Project Goal:

To create a secure web application for storing and managing user passwords, focusing on backend integration with Python Flask.

Technologies Used:

HTML5, CSS3, Python, Flask Framework.

Key Features:

Functionality to add, view, update, and delete passwords for the user.
Backend logic to handle data securely.
A simple and user-friendly interface.

What I Learned:

This project taught me how to build a web server using Python and Flask. I also learned how to receive data from HTML forms, process it, and connect the frontend to the backend.

Fire Alarm System

Project Goal:

To develop an IoT-based fire alarm system that sends real-time alerts upon detecting a fire, providing experience in hardware and software integration.

Technologies Used:

IoT, Flame Sensor, Microcontroller (ESP8266/Arduino), Real-time Alert System.

Key Features:

Utilizes sensors for immediate detection of fire or smoke.
Activates a buzzer/alarm upon detecting a threat.
Sends real-time alerts to notify the user instantly.

What I Learned:

From this project, I learned how to interface sensors with a microcontroller. I understood the principles of IoT and how to build a real-time alert system by sending data from a hardware device.

Dynamic Calculator

Project Goal:

To build a fully functional, responsive calculator using Vanilla JavaScript to strengthen DOM manipulation and logic-building skills.

Technologies Used:

HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox), Vanilla JavaScript.

Key Features:

Supports all basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Includes clear (C) and backspace (⌫) functionality.
Responsive design works well on both mobile and desktop.

What I Learned:

Through this project, I strengthened my understanding of DOM manipulation and event handling in JavaScript. I also learned the logic for handling mathematical expressions and managing user input.
